Web Site
Next year our website will be due for a major revision.  It has been postponed as a remarkable number of visitors say how nice they think the current version is!  Perhaps it is the old style retro feel to it .... or just loads of pictures of lovely Huskies!!  Some pages vary in style, asymmetric with alternate pictures, symmetric with 2 pictures for each trip, asymmetric all pictures to one side or two columns of trips down the page.  If you have any preference please let me know.  john@dogsledding.co.uk

Financial Protection
Sometime soon we may move away from having a large cash trust fund to act as financial protection for our clients to insurance based International Passenger Protection.  This will be based on the costs of running either scheme, the ease of running each system and our clients perception of their security.  We are in good financial shape as we have cut our overheads to about 25% of what they were 2 years ago and our margins are protected by forward purchasing of currency required for the season.  Please don't confuse us with large business who overtrade, spend fortunes on marketing and are financed on debt.  At my tender years I ensure we take a zero risk strategy!

Charity Challenge
Anne Mawdsley MBE, Chief Executive and Founder of the Raynaud’s & Scleroderma Association, recently raised £27,000 for Raynaud’s and Scleroderma research in a very courageous challenge.  Risking pain and injury to life and limb she endured unseasonably low temperatures of -32 degrees on a 2 day charity adventure through the wilds of northern Finland.  Anne made meticulous planning to help her cope with the conditions and was also well looked after by the excellent Finnish guides.  We can't recommend these adventures to similar sufferers of Raynaud's - but well done to Anne and Jo!

Prices
Some trips have gone down in price for 2011!!  This is the first time for several years - after horrible price increases mostly caused by the weak UK£.  Finland is notably good value this year.  The currency situation still remains very volatile but if the current (better) rates remain then we may be able to perhaps offer some discount - please ask.

New Itineraries
Some of our guides in Norway and Finland have retired - but with research and recommendations we have new itineraries on offer ..... some with 'new' guiding teams ('new' = established but new to our website) and some itineraries developed with our current guides to satisfy the demand for particular types of trips.  There are many guiding companies we don't use .... we select guides who excel in their care for their dogs and you the client.  We hope to introduce a grading system soon for our trips giving the rating from clients over the last few years.  (Anything less than 10 or 9 out of 10 gives us cause for concern!)
