8 to 9 day adventures

Norway.  On this guided expedition you will drive your own sled dog team across the tundra and mountains of Varanger Peninsula, to the shores of the Arctic Ocean, and back again.  Further north than most of Siberia or Alsaka you can't get much further north than this on mainland Europe!!  An amazing mix of sea, sky and snow with excellent opportunities to view the Northern Lights.   8 days: £2295 plus flights.

Norway.  Using a unique cabin lodge as your base during the first few days you can enjoy two day trips with your dogs to gain experience. Then a free day for you and the dogs to recover with opportunity for you to experience and try other activities. You are then ready for your three day tour to a remote wilderness cabin.  8 days, 5 days out with your team of huskies.  £1425 plus flights.

Norway.  From your base camp at Altavatn you can explore the the remote Dividalen National Park.  January or February.  8 days, 5 days with your dog team.  £1795 excluding flights.

Finland.  Enjoy good quality food and accommodation on this safari right on the eastern edge of Finland against the Russia border.  After a training day you will spend 3 or 4 days out on the trail staying at wilderness cabins.  December to April.  8 days £1475.  Similar itinerary but with 3 days dog sledding and 3 days snowmobiling available for £1575.

Finland.  A true 'A to B' safari - travelling some 250km north along the Russian border. Overnights in a variety of always comfortable but simple authentic Finnish cottages, wilderness cabins and farm houses. You will have new experiences everyday and a sense of achievement when you arrive finally in the picturesque area of Arola and Hossa.  8 days, days with your team of huskies.  £1250 plus flights.

Finland.  Remote northern Karelia is on the Russian border where wild reindeer can be found.  From a simple comfortable base you have 3 day trips before a three day journey staying overnight in cottages or cabins. Electicity and showers available most nights.  Small group size of 2 to 5 persons normally.  8 days, 6 days on the trail with your dog team.  £1250 excluding flights to Kajaani.

Sweden.  Travel through forests draped in snow in the remote Swedish Lapland with opportunities to see the Northern Lights during the dark polar nights.  Overnight in simple cabins.  Days may be short but the huts will be cosy.  Dec to Feb.  8 days, up to 6 days with your dog team: £1195 plus flights.

Sweden.  Enjoy the spectacular scenery of the mountains and really become a part of the team as you collect your water from the lakes, chop wood, heat up the sauna and of course help look after and feed your team of dogs.  Overnight stay in public and private cabins.  Need to be happy to tough conditions to really enjoy this one.  A stunning wilderness adventure.  8 days, 6 with your dog team: £1425 plus flights.

Sweden.  This trip offers you the chance to have a real adventure, crossing Jamtland with your own team of dogs.  Leaving your comfortable lodge base you will travel through the vast mountain area staying overnight in tents or simple cabins.  Passing mountains rising to 1743m (almost 6000ft) this is a true 'A to B' expedition.  Late March and April.  8 days, 6 days on the tour: £1535 plus flights.

Canada.  A challenging but relaxed fun trip!  You should be in relatively good physical shape and have a good team spirit.  Based up in the Yukon mountains for good snow conditions and true wilderness adventure.  Available mid-November to mid-April.  £1175 including local taxes but excluding flights.  8 days, accommodation in basic cabins (4 nights) and heated trapper tents (2 nights).

Canada.  One trip only, 7th to 14th February 2009!  After running your own dog team through the stunningly wild Yukon scenery for 6 days you return to Whitehorse to spend Saturday as a volunteer assisting 2009 Yukon Quest Race start officials.  8 days £1275 excluding flights.
