Dog Sledding

Finland.  Come and enjoy a wonderful dogsled safari in the beautiful and peaceful winter scenery of Lapland.  Drive your own team of 4 to 6 dogs covering 25km to 40km each day.  Overnights whilst on the trail in simple wilderness cabins.  7 days: £1235 (high season) and £1035 (low season) plus flights

Finland.  Travel with your own dog team though this remote area of Finnish Lapland through forests, across lakes and up onto the treeless hills.  Overnight in simple cabins or even tents - although you can enjoy the comfort of a hotel before and after the adventure.  Suitable for those who like a challenge and the 'great outdoors'.  7 days, 5 days with your dog team.  £1195 excluding flights.

Norway.  Real expeditions that take you up into and through the Norwegian mountains.  Stunning scenery, an experience of a life time.  Camping en-route but first/last nights in guide house or in comfortable cabins.  Feb and April to enjoy extra daylight.  7 days, 4 or 5 with dogs, £1525 plus flights.

Sweden.  Abisko National Park is a unique area.  Apart from the sunning scenery, it is the driest and sunniest place in northern Sweden due to its special micro-climate, shielded on all sides by mountains. This is a great introduction to dog sledding in the mountains - areas only previously accessible by mountaineers and fit back-country skiers.   6 days, 4 days with dogs, £895 plus flights.

Sweden.  Superb guides, lovely dogs and memorable scenery.  This adventure will take you through the heart of the most spectacular mountains in Scandinavia.  Route travels North from Nikkaulokta to Abisko nationa Park via the Tjaktjapass.  Basic accommodation but 5 star trip!  7th to 13th March 2009.  Best value mountain tour we have for a 7 day trip with 5 days with your husky team at £1175 excluding flights.

Sweden.  Mirror image of the Kings Trail Expedition North but runs South from Abisko National Park to Nikkaulokta through the Tjaktjapass.  This is a great adventure and includes snowmobile support for safety and to allow you to take as much spare clothing as you need.  One date only, so book early - 1st to 7th March 2009.  7 days, 5 days with your husky team, £1350 excluding flights.

Sweden.  An ideal holiday for someone who would like to try out wilderness dog sledding.  Based mainly in a comfortable lodge with day trips to gain confidence and experience, the adventure ends with an overnight trip to a mountain cabin (or even tent in good weather).  6 days, 4 days with your team of dogs.  Dec to April.  Upon request for 2 or more persons.   £1235 plus flights.

Canada.  7 day adventure based in comfortable but simple cabins with opportunity to get out with your dog team every day.  As your confidence and rapport with your dog team grows you will be ready for the challenge of a overnight expedition to a heated tent wilderness camp.  After your time on the trail with your dogs, you will be able to take time out to 'chill out', going for a walk, a social evening in the dining room, helping with the dogs, watching 'mushing videos' or resting in your room.  £1535 excluding flights.

Canada.  Looking for a trip that combines rustic yet elegant accommodation with pristine wilderness? Then this is the adventure for you. You'll spend your days mushing your own team of dogs through incredible mountain scenery, returning each evening to cosy log cabins and yurts for deliciously prepared meals.  Top quality adventure.  Ideal for honeymoon couples looking for a honeymoon to remember.  January to mid-March.  £2045 for 7 days including local taxes but excluding flights.
